He has many verses that he holds dear, but his current life verse is Ephesians 3:20-21.

Yvette Godwin
Choir Director
Our music is under the guidance of Yvette Godwin and she is passionate about music that lifts up the name of Jesus. Our music here at Philadelphia Baptist is a blend of traditional hymns and praise /worship songs. We have several members who are dedicated to serving in leading our congregation during each worship service and a choir that will bless your heart through song. Yvette has been a member of our church since she was 9 years old and raised in a loving and Christian home by her parents, Rev. Dwight and Norma Mabry. Rev. Mabry was pastor at our church for 39 years and after his retirement, Yvette continued to serve at our church as music director. Through the years she has taught Sunday School, served in our children’s ministry, and assisted with VBS. She has played the piano since an early age in our church, whether it was playing for prelude, special music or the congregational hymns and choir.
Yvette is married to Scott Godwin and they have two children, Hannah Griffin (husband Jeffrey) and Abby Godwin. They have also been blessed with a granddaughter Eliza Jane. She enjoys trips
to mountains and hiking to waterfalls. She mostly enjoys spending time with the family she has been blessed with, especially being Mimi to Eliza Jane. If you would like to reach out to Yvette regarding the music at our church, you may contact her at pianomama3251@gmail.com
Come , let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our Salvation. Let us come to Him with thanksgiving. Let us sing psalms of praise to Him. Psalms 95:1-2
